After recent building work I’m looking replace some decking that was removed and also considering re-turfing the lawn with rolled turf. I’d like to get quotes for two options. Option 1 is to be supply and fit of wood decking only (inclusive of suitable sub base. i.e joists and pillars to rest joists on) and Option 2 is to also include the supply and laying of the lawn.
Decking:
The decking area is approx. 45 square meters but spread over three sections. Please see attached rough sketch which shows a main decking area to the left of the house (this has a partial concrete base already) and a strip to the right of the house which is currently a concrete walkway. In addition I’d like a small strip of decking (two boards width) around the extension which joins the two areas together but this is purely decorative and not a walk-way. I’d like wood decking as have priced up my own option from a UK supplier for composite decking alternatives.
Lawn:
The lawn area is approx. 145 square meters and has an existing lawn currently in place. Professional opinion required on whether the existing lawn needs digging up, rotavating or can be left in place before laying new lawn. We are close to the beach on a sandbank so have a very sandy subsoil. Looking for suitable hardwearing lawn for family with young children.
