I’ve got an outdoor stove that needs a concrete base installing and some slabs laid before it can be erected.
I’ve already cut out the necessary hole in the deck – see attached photos.
Step 1: It needs about 0.25m3 / 9ft3 of concrete, up to the underside of the deck timbers.
Step 2: One if the paving slabs needs to be cut along the diagonal. I’ve no spares, so I can’t afford for any breakages as I don’t know if I can get any more to match the patio.
Step 3: Bed the paving stones in on the concrete, flush with the decking
Step 4: Assemble the 4-piece stove (photos attached) and mortar it together
Note: the stove is heavy and it’s at least a two-man job to move the individual pieces.
