Hi,
I have a top floor flat in a converted building, and Im looking to stiffen up the flooring / add sound insulation as the resident below complains about footsteps etc.
The property is old so I have been looking into options to stiffen up the floor / add sound insulation and was wondering about “sistering” the joints, or replace beams if that was an option?
Even replacement with RSJ’s
Only been on the internet looking at options but would love for someone to come and quote for the work required to stiffen the floor and add sound insulation.
I realise that I wont be able to get a “purpose built” apartment results but need something better than the existing situation –
Thanks
